COMMUNITY SERVICE
VOLUNTEERISM
Daybreak Rotary has volunteered to support many local service organizations since it was founded. Club members enjoy the opportunity to meet new people and learn about the valuable work happening around the community. COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS
Now that it is an officially chartered club and selected a service focus, Daybreak is excited to begin working on community service projects in the Bloomington-Normal area. Already the club is developing a project for consideration. Check back later for more information.
Barb Knapp
Community Service Director
Daybreakers love serving the community and improving it for everyone. This year, I plan to find opportunities for our club to continue serving with meaningful and fun group activities with local organizations. So far, I have scheduled events with Easter Seals, Habitat for Humanity, and to collect school supplies for the Back to School Alliance.
CAJUN CRAZE 2018
Cajun Craze is Daybreak Rotary's signature fundraiser. 2013 was the first year for the event. It was an instant success in the community and raised money to sponsor a Habitat for Humanity home. The 2014 event was June 21 and raised money for Easter Seals. Cajun Craze 2015 was another great event that raised money to help fund MarcFirst's Marc Making program, which helps developmentally disabled adults earn income through creative arts. 2016 proceeds benefited Home Sweet Home Ministries. 2018 will be at the Corn Crib on Saturday May 5th at 5pm.
